These McCulloch steam cleaners are perfect for disinfecting and cleaning all sorts of things around the house. Your grout will never look better and your tile floors will never feel cleaner! You can shine up your outdoor grill and make that patio furniture look like new. Let’s take a closer look at both models to see which one best suits your needs.
McCulloch MC1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner
The McCulloch MC1275 Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner deeps cleans and sterilizes surfaces unlike any bottle of chemicals can do. It takes only 8 minutes to heat up, then gives you up to 45 minutes of 200-degree steam.
It comes with 18 accessories that mostly store onboard. They’re there to help you melt away dirt on a wide variety of surfaces. This steam cleaner can even sanitize a mattress if you’re facing a bed bug infestation. And the 15-foot-long power cord, 10-foot steam hose, caster wheels, and extension wands help you reach where you need to clean without searching for an extension cord.
Don’t worry about your hand getting tired. The trigger locks into place so you can power through big jobs without having to squeeze it the whole time. One example might be when you use the mop head to clean a large tiled floor. Or if you have a lot of grime to scrub off a BBQ grill with the included brass and nylon brushes.
Some of the other cleaning accessories include a steam jet nozzle, microfiber pads, two extension wands, a squeegee, a triangle brush, and a scrub pad. Depending on your task, you may not need as much steam power. In that case, simply use the control switch to diminish the flow. Or if you need a powerful blast of steam, try the McCulloch MC1375 Canister Steam System below.
More features of the McCulloch MC1275 Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner:
- Covered by a 1-year limited warranty
- 48-ounce water tank
- Total unit (dry) weighs 10 pounds
- 1500-watts of power, maximum pressure about 3 bar, or 43 psi
McCulloch MC1375 Canister Steam System
The McCulloch MC1375 Canister Steam System is a more powerful steam cleaner that outputs a stronger blast of steam than the MC1275. Instead of 3 bars of pressure, it can put out up to 4 bar, or 58 psi. This is very helpful when you need to remove tough stains.
The MC1375 can also run for up to 90 minutes on a 48-ounce tank of water, or twice as long as the MC1275. This is partly due to the variable steam output that you can control. Plus, the cleaner kit includes two more accessories for a total of twenty instead of eighteen.
Besides those differences, the MC1375 also has three other helpful features: a 10-foot long insulated steam hose, and 18-foot long power cord, and a pressure indicator. It takes a little longer than the MC1275, up to 12 minutes total, to heat up.Then you’ll have 200F steam to remove grease, dirt, and germs all around the house.
Once you’re cleaning, you can dial in precisely the amount of steam you need. The MC1375 is ideal for removing grease stains from a garage floor, sanitizing a bathroom, making appliances look new again, and getting the patio ready for summer parties.
The accessories that differ on the MC1375 are a larger mop head, an angled nozzle, a scraper, and a round brush. Most of the accessories store onboard the steam cleaner itself, or you can place them in the accessory bag.
The extension wands, for example, can be used separately or together. Each wand measures 16.5 inches in length, giving you a total of 33 extra inches’ reach.

- Total unit (dry) weighs 10.8 pounds

Recommendation
If you have ordinary household cleaning tasks to complete, the MC1275 is probably all you’ll ever need. The 45-minute run time and 3 bar of steam pressure at 200F should be plenty for regular jobs like cleaning floors, furniture, and appliances.
If you have a larger home with more cleaning to complete, or very tough jobs with heavy grease and dirt, the MC1375 may be a better fit. It runs up to 90 minutes and has more steam pressure with variable output that you can control.
